GENERATIVE AI

Floor plans and 3D from a sentence

Describe the rooms, adjacencies and constraints in plain language; get back a buildable floor plan and a real-time 3D visualisation — fast enough to iterate on inside a meeting.

THE CHALLENGE

Plain words in, buildable plans out

Turning a plain-language brief — rooms, adjacencies, code constraints — into a valid floor plan and a 3D visualisation usually means hours of manual drafting. Archigen needed it in the length of a conversation.

THE CONSTRAINT

Generated plans had to be buildable, not just plausible. A pretty layout that breaks an adjacency or a code limit is worse than no layout at all.

CONTEXT — A GENERATED PLANReplace with a real generated floor plan with dimensions.
WHAT WE DID

What we did

Three decisions shaped the build. Each one is a bet we can explain.

01

Constraints as hard rules

A solver enforces adjacency and code limits, so generated plans are buildable by construction — the model proposes within rules it cannot break.

SCREEN — CONSTRAINT EDITORAdjacency + code rules.
02

Generation, then refinement

The model proposes; the user nudges; the plan updates without starting over. Iteration feels like editing, not re-rolling dice.

SCREEN — REFINE LOOPPrompt → plan → adjust.
03

Web-native 3D

Real-time visualisation in the browser with Three.js — no plug-in, no export step, no waiting for a render farm.

DELIVERY

How we delivered it

A small, named squad and a two-week rhythm — the same people, a demo you attend, and no surprises at launch.

SECURITY & SCALE

Security & scale

The section enterprise buyers read first.

ISOLATED

Every project is the client's

Per-project isolation; generated assets belong to the client alone, never pooled across accounts.

AUTOSCALED

Interactive under load

Inference is queued and autoscaled to keep generation latency stable when many designers work at once.

VALIDATED

Buildable by construction

The solver rejects any layout that violates a constraint before it ever reaches the user.

PyTorch for the generative model, a constraint solver for buildability, and Three.js so the 3D lives in the browser. New technology where it earns its place, guardrails where it must not fail.
